A BlankTV Premiere Presentation:
Long Lost Love - "Gangsta on the Roof"
Long Lost Love bio:
Singer-guitarist Michael Guerrero might have already made his mark as ¼ of hardcore upstarts A Hero to Fall, but this up-and-comer can hit just as hard with an acoustic guitar and a melodious voice. With his new one-man band Long Lost Love, Guerrero has tapped into the softer side of his musical background to create an emotional, stripped-down debut with the EP Nostalgia.
The project name and EP title are a nod to the kind of singer-songwriter material that Guerrero had put on the backburner for so many years while focusing on his part in A Hero to Fall. In high school he had started out playing and writing songs on an acoustic. It was only when he had been gifted an electric guitar that he found himself favoring heavier material over what he started out playing.
Long Lost Love began as an outlet for Guerrero’s newly reinvigorated interest in the softer material that didn’t fit in with the music he was creating with his co-conspirators in A Hero to Fall. For the singer-songwriter, there is as much power in this material as there is in the hardcore heights of his regular gig; while the projects may be mutually exclusive, the time and passion he puts into them are not.
Michael Guerrero hails from Santa Rosa, California. His influences include City and Colour, This Wild Life, Rise Against, & Circa Survive. Not one to rest on his laurels, Guerrero has been pursuing his degree in Early Childhood Education while working full time on A Hero to Fall and Long Lost Love.
About The Video: This video was created by John Howe, and he really did a great job capturing the emotions and feelings I had while writing this song! Enjoy!
